Deep One, Spawn of Cthulhu by tat2pooch Deep One, Spawn of Cthulhu by tat2pooch
16 x 20 acrylic on canvas, inspired by a sculpture of Cthulhu i saw, thought it would be fun to use a nautilus and cuttlefish as reference to create a twist on the cthulhu look

The nautilus shell shape is indeed very close to the human head shape. I tried to use that too and it give good results. If something close to what we are existed underwater, it could had this kind of shell^^.
You done very impressive job here.

Yep, absolutely amazing. The detail is just incredible. The fact you managed to get that thing to have a sort of proud expression, is amazing. Fantastic work!

It showed through really well, and makes it more than just a monster. It's clearly sentient!
